When playing the Stop Go card game, there are a few things you should know. First, the goal is to capture cards from the layout. The name Go Stop probably doesn’t sound like a fishy card game, but it is. Played by three or more players, it is a similar variation of Uno. Its aim is to nab a yaku, which is the Korean term for a point. To get started, you need a deck of flower cards, or a Hwatu. These are not identical to Japanese hanafuda decks, but are similar in design. In fact, you may be able to buy these online. They are packaged in sets of six. However, the decks that you get in stores will be a bit more modest.
To play, you choose a dealer. Your deck of cards will be shuffled before the round starts. After the shuffle, you take a look at the cards that you have, and choose the one that best suits your strategy. For the most part, this is a fairly quick process. Next, you play the round. Before doing so, though, you’ll want to consider the rules of the game.
While you’re at it, you might want to take a look at the scoring sequences. In the first round, you’ll need to create a triplet. A triplet is when you are able to capture four cards from the same month in the space of one round. On the second and third rounds, you’ll be able to complete your trifecta. Of course, you’ll also need to use the correct flower card.
The best way to get started is to make a decision about the number of rounds you’ll need to complete. This depends on the size of the group and how many people you’re competing against. Typically, you’ll need at least 12 rounds, but you can go as long as you’re comfortable. Other common options are six or eight rounds. And don’t forget to factor in time. You’ll want to make sure you have plenty of time to play, as this can be a stressful game if you’re having trouble keeping up.
Lastly, you’ll need to decide on a target score. Typically, you’ll want to be at least three or seven points ahead of your opponents. If you do that, you’ll have a pretty good chance of claiming the Go Stop trophy. Hopefully, you’ll be able to collect enough points in the following rounds to win. Or, you can call it a day. If you’re feeling lucky, you might even want to try for a score that’s higher than that.
